The NieR series is as eclectic as it is captivating. It frequently switches up its gameplay alongside tackling philosophical themes and allowing players to unlock multiple endings to unravel the entire story. The series has carved out a unique niche for itself within the games industry, and it is one of the most diverse and exciting platinum trophies you can earn. Let’s get into this NieR Replicant trophy guide.

NieR Replicant Walkthrough
With the unconventional structure of NieR Replicant and some of its trophies, it is essential first to take a look at the most efficient way to approach getting its platinum trophy. This will ensure that you don’t have to do more playthroughs than necessary while avoiding the game’s one ending that erases your entire save file until you’re ready to get it out of the way.
Step One: The First Two Playthroughs
The first part of your time with the game is to play through it twice. You will receive a different ending when you finish it, known as Endings A and B. As you go through it, you should do as many side quests as you want, especially during the first part of the game, to get them out of the way for later as side quest completion carried over between playthroughs. However, you won’t get too many trophies during this step of the playthrough and will instead use the time to familiarize yourself with the game as much as possible.
Trophies in this step:
- The Book of Legend
- The Wild Companion
- The Mellow Companion
- Release
- Key Collector
- A World in Flux
- the Magic Man
- Educated Warrior
- Call Her Back
- Lingering Memories
Step Two: The Collecting Playthrough
Now, it’s time for your third playthrough, and this time you’ll want to focus on getting yourself as powerful as possible. To do this, you’ll be completing every side quest in the game, upgrading your weapons and abilities to the max, and will find all of the collectibles since they help make you more powerful. This will likely be your most extended playthrough during this completion. However, make sure you don’t go for ending D yet, however, as it deletes you save after achieving it.
Trophies in this step:
- Gratitude
- Wordsmith
- Weapons Collector
- Village Handyman
- Jack of All Trades
- Go-To Guy
- Dear Diary
- man of means
- Thank You
- Legendary Gardener
- Fish of Legend
- A Round by the Pond
- Material Hunter
- Upgrade Apprentice
- Reform Specialist
- Forging Master
Step Three: Boss Speedruns
After finishing your third playthrough, you’ll have to play through the game a fourth time, focusing on beating each of the bosses within a specific time limit. As long as you have gotten fully upgraded before getting ending C, this shouldn’t be too much of a challenge, especially since you’ll have faced all of these bosses multiple times by now.
Trophies in this step:
- King of the Lost Shrine
- A True Friend
- Boss of the Junk Heap
- Scourge of The Aerie
- Protector of Facade
- The Little mermaid
- Permission Granted
- \A Dirge for the Hero
- Soul Crusher
- Book Burner
- The Once and Final King
- The Strongest Bond
- Lightspeed Fighter
Step Four: Deleting Your Save and Ending E
After you’ve beaten all of the bosses within the time limit, you’ll want to finish the playthrough to get ending D. This ending was the original ending of the game and deletes you save until that point, so make sure you’re ready to do it before you do. However, the remaster added the ending E that adds some brief new content to play through after your save is deleted. Play through that, and you’ll get to save the file back. After finishing these two endings, you can pick up any of the miscellaneous trophies that you didn’t get while playing through naturally.
Trophies in this step:
- Something Very Special
- Daredevil
- Combo Fanatic
- Combat Master
- All Aboard!
- The Sheep Whisperer

Jack of All Trades
Rarity: Bronze
Description: This trophy is for completing 20 side quests.
Go-To Guy
Rarity: Silver
Description: This trophy is for completing 30 side quests.

You should also note that once you move on to Part Two, you cannot complete any quests from Part One, so make sure you get them all done before progressing too far. If you don’t have any more quests on the map, more will unlock as you progress through the story, so don’t worry about progressing a little bit to unlock some more side quests to do. If you have a hard time finding any quests, you can also talk to Devola at the tavern in your village, and she will mark your map with three available quests if there are any.
Dear Diary
Rarity: Bronze
Description: This is a story trophy you will unlock naturally.
Man of means
Rarity: Bronze
Description: This trophy is for having 1,000,000 gold at once.
Tips: Getting money isn’t easy, so you’ll want to make sure that you get this trophy out of the way before purchasing all of the sold weapons for the Weapons Collector trophy above. Most of the quests in the game reward you with gold, but you can also farm for it in two ways. The first is to grind for items to sell by fighting machines in the Junk Heap. They always drop materials, and selling them will get you a fair amount of gold, depending on your luck. The second way to grind is by fishing. If you finish all of the fishing quests, you’ll be able to catch the most expensive fish in the game. Repeating that can net you up to 500,000 gold in just one hour. See the trophy A Round by the Pond below for more information on fishing.
Educated Warrior
Rarity: Bronze
Description: This is a story trophy you will unlock naturally.

Legendary Gardener
Rarity: Bronze
Description: This trophy is for growing a Lunar Tear.
Tips: This trophy will take some time and effort to get out of the way. First, you need to complete the quests Shopping List and A Return to Shopping in your village to unlock your garden and upgrade its size. Then, you’ll have to buy ten Red, Gold, and Blue Moonflower seeds to start cross-breeding them. First, you must breed ten Peach Moonflower seeds by filling your garden with alternating Red and Gold Moonflower seeds. They will grow after one real-world day and will wilt after another two. You need to wait for them to wilt so that you can collect their seeds, but if you don’t want to wait, you can disconnect your console from the internet and move it forward in time by 24-hour increments to progress it faster.
You then have to breed ten Indigo Moonflower seeds. To get those, you have to repeat the process of the Peach Moonflower seeds but using Blue and Gold Seeds. Then, repeat it with Indigo and Red Moonflower seeds to get Pink Moonflowers. You’ll then be able to grow the Lunar Tear by filling your garden with alternating Peach and Pink Moonflower seeds. However, make sure to harvest the Lunar Tear once it grows but before it wilts, as you need the flower itself for the trophy.
Fish of Legend
Rarity: Bronze

Forging Master
Rarity: Silver
Description: This trophy is for fully upgrading all 33 weapons.
Tips: Each weapon will be upgraded four times to reach its maximum potential. Each level takes some materials and 1,000 gold, so this trophy will take some grinding. Keep all of your materials as you play unless you are grinding for them to raise money. King of the Lost Shrine
Rarity: Bronze
Description: This trophy is for killing Gretel in less than 3:20.

Boss of the Junk Heap
Rarity: Bronze
Description: This trophy is for killing P-33 in less than 4:30.
Tips: Make sure to skip the cutscene halfway through the fight, use your Dark Blast with your best Geb word for the first phase, and when the boss’ health drops to zero, make sure to focus on the shade.
Scourge of The Aerie
Rarity: Bronze

Protector of Facade
Rarity: Bronze
Description: This trophy is for killing Roc in less than 3:30.
Tips: To get under this time, you have to skip all of the cutscenes, use crowd control magic for the first phase to deal with the wolves, and use Dark Blast with physical combos once Roc jumps into the fray. Tips: This trophy is another easy one as long as you skip cutscenes as the fight is very similar to the first one.
Book Burner
Rarity: Silver
Description: This trophy is for killing Grimoire Noir in less than 1:30.
Tips: You have to skip the cutscenes for this fight. Otherwise, they’ll take up your time. Once you’re in the fight, run right up to him and spam magic and physical attacks until he starts rushing around the arena. Then, use magic attacks to keep hitting him while he’s moving.
