Stardew Valley Achievements

There are games within the Trophy hunting community that have a reputation for being hard games, but not necessarily hard platinum to achieve. A great example is a Soulsborne genre. These games have garnered a reputation for being some of the most challenging and unforgiving games within the medium; however, if we look at the stats regarding those that earn platinum in these games, the average tends to be rather high, with 20-30% of players earning the coveted platinum. This is because, while the game is tough and the learning curve is a steep one, the trophy list is rather straightforward. This isn’t the case with all titles, though, and some unassuming games can throw hunters a real curveball.

Take our spotlight item of the day, Stardew Valley, as your prime example. This game is a whimsical and jovial farming simulator with community aspects and some dungeon crawling. You take one look at this pretty pixel adventure and think that the platinum is in the bag. Well, we hate to burst your bubble, but this game not only asks the player to put in hundreds of hours to earn a lot of its achievements, but it also asks the player to master some genuinely brutal tasks.

In short, Stardew Valley is tougher than one might think, but that doesn’t mean you should let this one list on your trophy pile at anything less than 100% complete. In this guide, we aim to ensure that you have a clear path to success carved out for you. That all of the harder tasks are mapped out to offer you the easiest route. Plus, we aim to offer some helpful tips where applicable. So without further delay, here is our Stardew Valley Achievements and Trophy Guide.

Okay, so if you feel overwhelmed by the abundance of achievements listed above, don’t be as through natural play; most players will earn the majority of these trophies. However, we aren’t average players, we are trophy hunters, and we want to get them all and get them fast. So here is how.

Focus on all Skills

The first thing that we would suggest to players is to make sure to alter their routine and grow their fishing, mining, combat, foraging, and farming skills regularly. This will mean that you aren’t lacking in any area come to the end of your first playthrough and need to grind your way to level ten in any skill.

Watch Your TV

To avoid very long playthroughs and relying on re-runs, you’ll want to watch the cooking channel every day that it’s showing something. These teach you cooking recipes, and if you want to be a gourmet chef, you’ll need all the recipes you can get.

Help Wanted

You’ll want to do as many bulletin board jobs as you can right from the beginning of the game. Not only do these jobs provide cash sums and a boost to your overall relationship with the quest giver. The player will also need to complete forty to receive the ‘Big Help’ achievement. So be sure to get right on this from the word go.

Be Social

You’ll want to focus a good amount of your time learning what items each resident of the town likes and then marking out the twenty people that you feel would be most convenient to boost to five-heart relationship status. Remember, you will also have to get at least eight of these people to a max rating of ten hearts, and you will also have to wed and have a family with one of the eligible bachelors or bachelorettes.

Complete Your Community Centre

You will need to be working on completing the community center bundles right from the fifth day of the game. You will need to visit the traveling merchant, have a varied playstyle and be proactive to try and set up opportunities for later down the line. There is a feature in the game settings that allow you to guarantee a path for a one-year completion of the community center. We suggest you use it.

Complete Your Museum

Much like the Community Center, you will need to be consistently filling up your museum. To do this, you will need to be constantly on the lookout for worms sticking out of the ground, as these usually mean artifacts. Plus, you’ll need to mine for gems and geodes as these are also key to completing the museum collection.

Engage with the Adventurer’s Guild

It’s easy to forget about the Adventurer’s guild completely, as aside from some fun items and weapons, it isn’t all that relevant of a game feature. However, some combat-related quests ask you to kill X amount of each type of enemy. So be sure to keep track of this and try to gradually work through this rather than grinding kills later on.

Grow One of Everything

To complete the Full Shipment achievement, you will need to ship one of everything in the shipping log. So make a note of what is needed and what isn’t. Then be sure to grow at least one of everything within each respective season. This will make clean-up much more manageable.

Step Two: Selling Your Soul (Joja)

If you have managed to have a fun and full playthrough, completing all the achievements listed above, then congratulations. We would love to keep this elation going, but you now have to witness the alternative route in Stardew that sees you sell your soul to the devil. Here are the trophies required for this step:

Joja Co. Member of the Year

That’s right, just the one achievement to chase down this time. To earn this trophy, you must ignore the wholesome community center route and side with the global conglomerate invading the town. Instead of collecting bundles, you will be focusing on making money which will allow you to pay for community projects. This is a much easier route to success than the community center, and once you get into a rhythm of earning big profits in your other save file, you should get this done and dusted before one in-game year has passed. Especially since this will be your sole focus. You will need 150,000g in total to pay for all of these projects, and obviously, you will need to spend money to make money. So try to be as economical as possible and when you aren’t farming, get mining.

Step Three: Earning The Big Bucks

The penultimate step requires the player to head back to their old save file, where we will assume you have made more money, and then we would urge you to continue to do so until you hit the overall earnings total of 10,000,000G. Here are the trophies you will need:

Legend

By this point, we would assume that we don’t have to tell you how to make money, but here are some quick tips to push you into the stratosphere:

  • Be sure to make Ancient Fruit, Strawberries, Sweet Gem Berries, Starfruit, and other high-earning crops your main squeeze.
  • Animals are a fantastic source of profits, especially pigs. They dig up truffles which can be converted to Truffle Oil
  • Upgrade your house in full and make sure to utilize kegs to make wine, and then casks in the cellar to mature the wine.

Step Four: The Journey of the Prarie King

Then lastly, we have the final hurdle that usually stops most keen Stardew Valley fans from earning the coveted platinum for this game. This comes through a little arcade machine found in the Stardrop Saloon, known as Journey of the Prarie King. Here are all the associated trophies for this last step:

  • Journey of the Prarie King
  • Fector’s Challenge

We would focus first on learning the mechanics of this top-down bullet-hell style game. You should try to learn what powerups are most helpful, how each boss battle works, how to save up your coins effectively and use them as needed to succeed in later rounds, and when you feel like you have everything down, we would ask players to work hard to complete the game. This will reward the player with an arcade machine that they can play in their own home, meaning they don’t need to wait until 12 pm every day to enter the Stardrop Saloon. Then comes the real test, Fector’s Challenge. This is a task that will ask the player to complete the entire arcade shooter without dying once, which seems simple on paper, but once you play the game a few times, you’ll begin to realize the enormity of this challenge. However, if you can overcome this last, admittedly huge hurdle, you will be the proud owner of a Stardew Valley platinum trophy.

You Can Stardew It!

As you can see from the information above, Stardew Valley is a game that may look cute and inviting, which it is, but for a trophy hunter, this game is an uphill battle, to say the least. Players will have to play multiple playthroughs, commit to over one hundred hours of farming, fishing, mining, and more. Plus, even when that is all said and done. Players will still have to overcome the dreaded Fector’s Challenge. There is a reason that only about 2% of all players have achieved this platinum, but with any luck, and with the help of this guide, that could soon be you. We wish you luck out there; happy farming!

FAQ Section

Question: What is the Hardest Stardew Valley Trophy?

Answer: Without a doubt, that accolade belongs to the Fector’s Challenge achievement. It’s a huge brag to have even completed the Journey of the Prairie king mini-game at all. I know that my personal arcade machine sits pride and place in my in-game living room. However, to master this game, be appeased by the RNG gods and have the nerve to complete an entire run without dying even once. Well, I personally tip my hat to whoever has that in their locker.

Question: Who Created Stardew Valley?

Answer: Why it’s the video game industry’s most lovable and generous soul, Eric Barone. Fuelled by his love for Harvest Moon, Eric would single-handedly create this iconic indie game which has sold in the millions. He’s even working on a new project now called The Haunted Chocolatier, which is set to wow audiences all over again.

Question: Where Can I Play Stardew Valley?

Answer: Stardew Valley is available on Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC, IOS, and Android. Players can also play on PS Vita but only updated to version 1.3.
