Forza Horizons 5 Achievements Guide

Forza Horizons 5 Achievements Guide

Latest posts by Monica Phillips (see all)

In Forza Horizons 5, there is a massive quantity of Achievements for you to unlock. While many are just by doing the rather apparent main chapters in the Horizon Adventure, you should not underestimate the number of achievements granted for obscure or complex tasks.

Forza Horizon 5 will be one of the longest and hardest achievement hunts in general; there are 124 total achievements, some of which require DLC and excellent driving skills. This Forza Horizons 5 Achievements Guide will go through every single achievement in the game and help you find all those Bonus Boards and Barns and win all those race events and the Eliminator.

Bottom Line Up-Front

53 achievements in Forza Horizon 5 are in the base game, and another 16 were added through free updates. If you want the remaining 55 achievements, you will, unfortunately, need to buy the DLC. Otherwise, you can clear all achievements primarily by doing what the game tells you and clearing out every icon on the map.

  • Genre: Open-world Racing
  • Difficulty: Hard
  • Number of Playthroughs Required: 1 (with a lot of exploration)
  • Time To Complete: Around 120 Hours
  • Total Number of Achievements: 124
  • Percent of Players with Every Achievement: Around 0.005%

Roadmap to Completion

Say you want to join the exclusive club of people who have completed this game; you will need a roadmap to tell you which achievements you earn and when. This list is not sorted by the order we are going in; given the game’s open nature, you can feel free to jump around and get anything done whenever you want.

So, given the super open nature of the game, and the absolute volume of achievements, you should pick out whatever achievements you want to do, some being long-term goals and others being short-term.

This list isn’t sorted in order of events, but rather, type of achievement. Starting with some mostly free achievements, we have:

Free Achievements

forza horizons 5 race into action achievement

These achievements will come naturally from doing just about anything in the game. You can expect to get these either right at the start of the game or incidentally when going for something else.

  • Race into Action
  • Mi Casa
  • First Love
  • This is the Way
  • Icebreaker
  • Manufacturer Affinity

Horizon Adventure Achievements

These missions comprise the primary campaign, and there are at least two achievements for each horizon adventure ticket. There are some other achievements lumped into this category, strictly because they are easier to get during these segments of the game,

  • No Stone Unturned

Time-Based or Seasonal Achievements

forza horizons 5 dust in the lens achievement

As opposed to other events that consistently appear throughout the game, these achievements can only happen at specific in-game times, during in-game events, or at a particular real-world time.

  • Cactus Makes Perfect
  • Gotta Smash ‘Em All
  • A Royal Affair
  • Dust in the Lens
  • Treasure Hunter

Online Games and Events

All these require connecting the game to the internet and usually necessitate a ton of skill to win against other players. I recommend tuning the heck out of your favorite car and practicing driving with it before taking on some of these.

Rally Adventure DLC

forza horizons 5 welcome to sierra nueva achievement

Rally Adventure is the other paid DLC pack, and it has a bunch of extra missions and roads and generally a ton of stuff to do to get even more achievements. It is, again, relatively self-contained but still paid DLC, so if you only have the base game, you will be locked out of all of them.

Forza Horizons 5 Achievements Guide

Now that you know how you will get over a hundred achievements in this game, It’s high time we took a look at them. Just remember that you should not try and do these in any specific order and hunt down whichever ones are calling to you.

Welcome to Mexico

forza-horizon-5-on-a-wing-and-a-prayer

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 100%

This achievement is earned as part of the prologue when starting the game, so you’ll definitely get it.

Adaptable

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 96%

This achievement is earned for doing On a Wing and a Prayer which happens to be a part of the prologue and tutorial.

Race into Action

forza-horizon-5-race

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 87%

This achievement is unlocked by just doing a race. Given this is a racing game, you will get this eventually, and if you don’t, I don’t know what to tell you.

Mi Casa

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 77%

This one is obtained by getting a house. If you’re following the suggestions from the in-game radio announcers, you’ll come across one and buy it very early on.

First Love

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 77%

You can buy a car from the auto show when you’re in the game, selecting it from the menu. If you want the achievement, you can sort by lowest price and get one on the cheap, but you will probably end up spending some money here regardless.

This is the Way

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 77%

Starting any chapter of the Horizon Adventure will grant you this achievement. I’ll cover this entire mode in more detail with No Stone Unturned, but find the Horizon Adventure page in your menu and go for anything besides the Horizon Festival mainstage, and you’ll get it.

Icebreaker

icebreaker-forza-horizon-5

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 55%

This one also happens to be straightforward. On the map, you’ll find a bunch of pink circles, and if you drive into them you’ll either start a Horizon Arcade event or have to wait for one. Either way, this achievement is awarded just for your participation.

Manufacturer Affinity

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 70%

This is another one you’ll probably get on accident. You get a bonus for collecting every car made by any given manufacturer, and there is a load of manufacturers with only one car, and you get cars as rewards for a ton of things, so play the game, and you’ll get this one.

No Stone Unturned

jungle-expediton-forza-horizon-5

  • Gamerscore: 30
  • Players Earned: 67%

Completing an expedition (typically the first mission of any ticket on the Horizon Adventure) will net you this achievement. These missions usually have you exploring an area, doing something, then coming back, with an action sequence and race at the end. I’ll discuss Horizon Adventure itself more in the coming achievements.

Putting on a Show

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 23%

Showcase events are typically the first or second parts of any given ticket. If you start every ticket and get through them, you’ll achieve this, since showcases are usually not a challenge but a spectacle to watch.

Ask Any Racer, Any Real Racer

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 47%

This one is earned for starting the Horizon Street scene and building its outpost. Horizon Adventure is essentially the story mode of the game.

You can earn unlocks and unlock more tickets by doing actions within the game, namely doing things that give in-game accolades rather than system-wide achievements (but sometimes those coincide.)

These points can then be spent on each ticket, playing through a small campaign. Some are shorter and thus likely a bit easier than others, but most are leisurely, just consisting of building an outpost, doing a showcase, doing an expedition, then a race that covers a large portion of the map.

How to Race Friends and Influence People

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 11%

While doing the Horizon Street Scene adventure ticket, you’ll eventually race someone named Tristan, and you must get 3 stars on the race against him for this. These races aren’t too hard to perfect, and most 3-star times are just really forgiving in general, so you’ll probably naturally achieve this one.

Long Gone

forza-horizon-5-goliath-start

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 38%

You can earn this achievement by finishing the race at the finale of the Festival Mainstage ticket in first (The Goliath). It is the longest race in the game. It will not be easy, but you can manage winning it through a liberal use of rewinds and a well-balanced car.

Viva Horizon!

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 38%

This one is simple, and you’ll get it simultaneously with the previous achievement. Just get to the end of any ticket of the Horizon Adventure, and you’ll be good to go.

Join the Club

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 9%

When you complete the Drift Club ticket on the Horizon Adventure, you’ll earn this achievement. See the Ask Any Racer, Any Real Racer achievement.

Hoonigan Impressionist

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 4%

This is an extra side mission in the Drift Club ticket, which won’t be too hard if you go for every side mission when prompted.

Drift Club Mexico

  • Gamerscore: 30
  • Players Earned: 8%

You can earn this achievement by getting 3 stars in all chapters of Drift Club, which means play well, retry and rewind a lot, get a great car, and you’ll be fine.

AWDyssey

awdsyssey

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 50%

By doing the first mission of the Horizon Wilds ticket, you’ll build the outpost, and you’ll get this. Just like Ask Any Racer, Any Real Racer.

Far from the Mudding Crowd

forza-horizon-5-tulum-expedition

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 68%

This achievement is gotten for building the Horizon Apex outpost, which means doing the first part of the Horizon Apex ticket. Refer to Ask Any Racer, Any Real Racer.

An Item Of Extreme Value

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 57%

This optional achievement is in the same mission as Far from the Mudding Crowd. For this one, go off course and explore a bit, then when your character says they have found the statue, take a picture.

New Tune

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 63%

Simultaneously with the previous achievement, you can go off course and quickly install a Radio Beacon before returning to the expedition.

Stunning Photography

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 62%

After progressing through the same expedition as the last few achievements, you’ll be in a tropical storm. Enter photo mode, take a picture, and done.

There’s Always Money in the Baja Stand

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 50%

This is earned for doing the first mission of the Horizon Baja ticket on the Horizon Adventure. Refer to Ask Any Racer, Any Real Racer.

Adrenaline Rush

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 45%

This achievement is for doing the first mission of the Horizon Rush ticket and building its respective outpost. Refer to Ask Any Racer, Any Real Racer.

Welcome to Mexico 2.0

blast-from-the-past-forza-horizon-5

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 20%

This is earned for just starting the Horizon Origins story, found at the top left of the map, and is really easy if you aren’t going for three stars.

Smash Happy

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 4%

This one is earned by smashing every billboard in the Horizon Origins story, all to the side of the road in races. Not too challenging if you keep your eye out.

Blast From the Past

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 9%

This is earned by completing every chapter in the Horizon Origins story, none of which are all that difficult and are mostly just a trip down memory lane for Forza fans. This story is located in the top left of the map.

Memory Lane

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 4%

This is earned by getting 3 stars in every chapter of Horizon Origins, which is very difficult, and will take quite a bit of skilled driving, but with a good car, a lot of rewinding, and a ton of shortcuts, you’ll manage.

Made in Mexico

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 6%

This achievement is obtained by completing the Made in Mexico Horizon Story, which is found on the southern side of the map. It’s not too challenging, and this achievement requires finishing it.

V.U.H.L.

  • Gamerscore: 30
  • Players Earned: 5%

Similar to the previous achievements, this is earned for 3-starring the Made in Mexico story, and the same advice applies. Liberal use of rewinds, shortcuts, and just driving well, and you’ll do it.

Cover to Cover

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 28%

This achievement is earned for getting 3 stars on any Horizon Story, which you will have probably already done by doing previous achievements.

Racing and Pacing and Plotting the Course

  • Gamerscore: 50
  • Players Earned: 20%

Through this whole game so far, you’ve probably only played a few races total, but if you want this achievement, you’ll have to play 80 unique races and get first in every single one.

Luckily you can use rewinds and the best car you have for every scenario, but finding the races themselves will take quite a bit of exploration. I’d recommend only focusing on this one after doing a bunch of other achievements.

Fit to Print

  • Gamerscore: 30
  • Players Earned: 8%

This one seems intimidating but is simple. The task is to snap a picture of 200 different cars, which sounds like a lot, but given that there are 12 cars in each race, all conveniently lined up at the start, and you have to complete at least 80 races for the previous achievement.

Naturally, you’ll see around 960 cars to take photograph at the very start. Just be sure to vary your car’s class, take pictures as soon as any race begins, and you’ll be well on your way to earning this one quickly.

Unbeatable Triumph

  • Gamerscore: 30
  • Players Earned: 12%

Ok, now this one should actually make you afraid. You need to set your AI difficulty to Unbeatable, meaning they will take the fastest route. The suggestion I can give is to choose the 6 races you’re most confident in and purchase a car off auction which is ridiculously good and well-tuned.

On top of those, you should also try to make clever use of the AI’s difficulty by knowing they can push you to victory if you cut in front of them and slam the breaks, which will usually jettison you forward and push them back. Otherwise, take a metric ton of shortcuts and rewind every time you play imperfectly.

Living Legend

forza-horizon-5-ramp

  • Gamerscore: 50
  • Players Earned: 9%

Firstly, PR Stunts is a poor term to describe what the game wants you to do. It just means all the mini-events on the overworld that aren’t races, story missions, expeditions, etc. So Speed traps, Speed Zones, Drift Zones, Danger Signs, and Trailblazer gates. There are a total of 103, and for this mission, we need to 3-star 98 of them.

This means going around the map, finding these mini-challenges, and 3-starring almost all of them.

I’d recommend grabbing a car off the auction house with at least an 8 (but preferable in the 9-10 range) on every stat; otherwise, you might spend quite a while switching cars for these. I’d also recommend doing other achievements and saving this one for later.

Water Performance

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 4%

First things first, pin the Water Performance challenge in the Accolades menu, which is a convenient way to guide you to where you should be.

Secondly, you should finish the La Marisma Trailblazer (avoid the water, located in the bottom right of the map), speed up to the Puerta PĂ©tra challenge (in the upper-right part of the map), then do that within 3 minutes and 30 seconds of finishing the first one.

I’ll Just Take This Now

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 7%

This is earned when you complete a Midnight Battle. To actually do Midnight Battles, first, you need the Street Scene outpost unlocked, and you have to finish at least 4 street races to unlock the first Midnight Battle. After that, it’s just a matter of going to the location on your map and doing it.

Nighthawk

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 4%

Like the previous one, you need street races unlocked, and you have to complete 16 of them to unlock all 4 Midnight Battles, finish every single one and come in first every time for this achievement.

I Have the High Ground

  • Gamerscore: 30
  • Players Earned: 5%

Under the Online tab, find the rivals page and pick out an A-class car you enjoy. Race a rival on a track you like, then after winning, upgrade your car’s class to S1 or above, and repeat until you’ve won 3 times.

These battles are less about racing usually and more about staying on track and not rewinding, ideally keeping a skill chain the whole way through.

Unlimited Prowess!

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 6%

To get this, find 5 Horizon Arcade events hosting 5 themes, Air, Speed, Chaos, Wreckage, and Drift. The Air theme will usually be the most difficult, requiring you to gain many skill points with airtime. Speed requires going fast, but is much easier. Chaos is a large variety of missions but isn’t too challenging.

Wreckage isn’t too bad either, requiring you to hit a bunch of piñatas and various other objects. The Drift theme is not too hard once you’ve got a car with decent drifting. For almost all of these, you will need to assemble a team of 3-10 people to complete every objective; that’s just how these games are designed.

Better Than New

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 20%

To obtain this achievement, all 14 barn finds across Mexico must be located, which I can’t exactly help with.

While I could tell you the location, none of that will help since you have to wait for one of the newscasters to inform you of the barn’s location before you can unlock it. Essentially, play through the rest of the game, and you’ll obtain this eventually.

Ford of the Wings

ford of the wings achievement

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 8%

In the lower-right of the map, you’ll find the Eagles Perch danger sign. For the achievement, you need to 3-star the sign with a Ford Supervan 3. You can purchase this car for quite a lot of money at the auto show, and you may need to tune it to get this, but at least it’s straightforward.

Complete Collection

  • Gamerscore: 30
  • Players Earned: 11%

This long and hard achievement is only for those players dedicated enough to smash every XP and Fast Travel board on the map. This task is difficult in-game, but conveniently solved by the paid treasure map. However, even more convenient for you and your wallet, this map was created by u/Trimpsuz on Reddit.

This achievement is also broken. My friend and I managed to get it despite only having broken around 50 of these boards, so who knows, you might just get it without having to try?

Ride and Seek

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 18%

You can get this achievement by driving on all the roads in Mexico, conveniently tracked in-game by roads grayed out on the map. I’d recommend doing this after most other achievements, as you’ll probably get 98% of the way there on accident doing everything else.

You Could Say I’m a Fan

  • Gamerscore: 30
  • Players Earned: 10%

For this achievement, you have to get a full collection of 25 different brands of cars. I’d recommend holding off on this achievement until later after you feel like you’ve collected a majority of the cars you’re gonna get naturally. Then you can see what manufacturer collections you’re close to finishing and buy them off auction.

A Forza Edition to my Collection

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 55%

This is earned by using Wheelspin or Super Wheelspin and getting a Forza edition car. As you might tell by the 55% earned rate, this is not hard. It’s just luck, and I’ve found one of the better ways to grind out Wheelspins is playing The Eliminator, as it always gives at least one.

Mogul

  • Gamerscore: 30
  • Players Earned: 18%

This is earned by purchasing all 7 houses. All these houses can be unlocked by just playing the Horizon Adventure tickets, but buying all of them will take a whopping 10,050,000 credits.

I do recommend going for the two most expensive houses first (Hotel Castillo and Buenas Vistas) since that will grant free wheel spins every day, and free fast travel to almost anywhere.

Album Cover

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 16%

This one also isn’t difficult, just expensive. The one is earned by using photo mode on the 2021 Mercedes-AMG ONE, which sounds simple, but the car is around 2 and a half million credits.

Unless you have a friend that owns one or can find a community race fulfilling these conditions, you’re grinding out wheelspins and races for money.

Hall of Famer

  • Gamerscore: 50
  • Players Earned: 30%

This one should be a secondary goal, not your primary one since it requires you to reach the Horizon Hall of Fame. This is done by unlocking every chapter and every mission in Horizon adventure (and preferably completing them) and earning 200,000 accolade points.

Cactus Makes Perfect

forza horizons 5 cactus makes perfect achievement

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 10%

This won’t be too difficult, but you have to wait around until the Wet Season, which is a pain. Essentially, do other achievements, and when it’s wet season, break as many cacti as you can manage.

Gotta Smash ‘Em All

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 8%

If you’re like me, you were probably also staring at this achievement description saying “What does ‘Seasonal Smashables’ even mean???”

And, apparently, it means waiting for the in-game seasons to give a challenge like “Destroy 10 Lamp Posts”, doing that, waiting for the next season, and doing it again. 5 times. This one sure is an achievement.

A Royal Affair

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 6%

An oddly specific achievement. This requires you to go to Hotel Mirador Balderrama, which is on the upper-right of the map. Park your car here, wait for sunrise, find some butterflies, and use photo mode to get a picture containing all 4 of these things in the shot.

There are also potentially some EventLab tracks that fulfill these conditions without having to wait.

Dust in the Lens

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 6%

A little north of the mountain Caldera, you’ll find a big Satellite Dish called the Gran Telescope. Wait for a dust storm, park next to it, and take a picture with the satellite and storm in the shot.

Treasure Hunter

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 10%

Seasons come and go every week, and they’ll bring a Festival Playlist with a list of Treasure Chests for you to find. Find all the ones in any given season for this achievement.

You’re the Champion

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 16%

This achievement asks you to get first in Horizon Open, which is accessed from the Online Menu. These races are online only, so you will likely have to play extremely well and stay away from using Rewind if you can help it.

Tourist Attraction

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 22%

The Horizon Tour can be seen on the map just above the Horizon Festival mainstage, and it will essentially take you and a bunch of other players through a few different courses, typically restricting everyone to a single car. You and the team of real players face off against CPUs, but it is still online.

Show Me Your Moves!

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 46%

This achievement has you playing an EventLab event from another player, usually found dotted about the map (you can even filter for them specifically), and are of varying quality and difficulty. Usually decently easy.

Good Carma

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 63%

After an EventLab event, or during many other scenarios involving other players, you’ll be asked to award the other player Kudos. This is free, so do it once for the achievement.

A Heart of Gold

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 50%

After you get a car from a garage, you’ll see the option to gift-drop a different car to another player from different categories. This will remove it from your own inventory of cars, but caring means sharing.

One for All

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 3%

This one is also entirely simple. Start a Horizon Open race and set it to custom so you can use the 2021 Mercedes-AMG One (which you also need for Album Cover) and drive it through the entire race.

Back in the Saddle

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 3%

This is identical to the previous achievement but in a 2021 Ford Bronco.

The Grand Opening

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 8%

This achievement is gained for getting 10 Horizon Open levels. The only way to get it is to play Horizon Open quite a bit, and you’ll get it in time, obviously a bit faster if you’re winning every time.

Badge of Honour

forza-horizon-5-badges

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 28%

Badges are unlocked through different online activities in Forza Horizon 5. You can see how to get any of them by going to the Badges tab on the online menu.

Another One Bites the Dust

  • Gamerscore: 30
  • Players Earned: 3%

This is unlocked for getting 100 total levels when playing Horizon Open, which is the same general advice as The Grand Opening, just for longer.

Jackpot

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 19%

This achievement is granted for doing the Horizon Super7, which is just a collection of 7 community-made races that were published recently. This may have been challenging a year or two ago, but nowadays since the online community hasn’t exactly made a ton of courses recently, it’s easy.

Front Runner

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 10%

The scarier version of Tourist Attraction, This achievement requires you to win in a spot above of all the CPUs in Horizon Tour. At least you don’t need to beat the other players, but this one can still be quite difficult.

Chicken Dinner

  • Gamerscore: 30
  • Players Earned: 3%

If you want this one, you should have great skill and resolve. This requires you to win The Eliminator, which is essentially a Forza battle royale. This means you should play smart during this mode, only challenging players you’re confident you can beat and gunning for better cars whenever you want.

Even though there are some strategies to employ, it’s going to come down to luck. There is no way to guarantee that you can find a good car before someone inevitably challenges you. So, you should grind out this game and get more skilled at it over time until, eventually, luck and skill combine to get you that victory royale.

Min, Meet Max

spring-hot-season-forza-horizon-5

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 4%

This achievement tasks you with completing all the non-expansion events in a playlist, which means looking through the season and doing everything not explicitly related to either Hot Wheels or Rally DLC. These events could be either really particular or really easy, so feel free to wait till a season that looks manageable comes up.

Seasoned Veteran

  • Gamerscore: 50
  • Players Earned: 36%

This one isn’t hard, just dumb. It tasks you with completing at least one Festival Playlist task every season, which means waiting for the season to say Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter and doing a single thing each season. This will take around a month or more of real-world time, which isn’t very fun.

No One Expects the Hot Wheels Expedition

forza-horizon-5-hot-wheels

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 94%

This is the jumping-off point for those who don’t have the DLC, as you get this achievement for just starting the Hot Wheels DLC and its expedition at the top of the map.

The Rookie

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 90%

The qualifiers for the Hot Wheels Expedition are the primary races and essentially boil down to some races on Hot Wheels tracks, with boosters and other elements thrown in to make it quite fun.

None of these races are particularly challenging, so as long as you’ve got the fundamentals, and remember gravity is a little less crucial than usual, you should be good.

The first of these is Ice Track, and for all of these, you only need to finish them rather than strictly 3-starring them. The Ice Track has you lose a bit of traction on the frozen parts of the road.

Pros, No Cons

forza-horizon-5-water-flume-hot-wheels-pro-qualifier

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 71%

This is the Pro Qualifier, unlocked after doing a few other missions in Hot Wheels park, and its main gimmick is dealing with water, which isn’t really hard to manage at all. For more info, see The Rookie.

I’m an Expert Now

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 55%

The expert qualifier, like the rest, is unlocked after doing some missions around the Hot Wheels park and requires you to win a race against Ramiro. This race isn’t too hard and just has you driving on standard roads in the canyon. For more, see The Rookie.

WORT, WORT, WORT!

hot-wheels-elite-qualifier

  • Gamerscore: 25
  • Players Earned: 45%

The elite qualifier is the finale after every other qualifier but has a unique gimmick that asks you to stay above 110 Miles Per Hour the entire way through the track. This means no slowing down, hitting walls, or anything, but rewinding is still valid. See The Rookie for more info.

Hot Wheels Legend

  • Gamerscore: 25
  • Players Earned: 38%

This one is achieved just by finishing Hot Wheels Goliath, a race that is unlocked after finishing the elite qualifier. Similarly to the Goliath discussed in the Long Gone segment, this takes you across the entire Hot Wheels park and should take several minutes to finish. A well-balanced car and plenty of rewinds should once again secure a win, though.

Supersonic

  • Gamerscore: 25
  • Players Earned: 38%

A difficult achievement, tasking you with finishing a lap of the Hot Wheels Goliath race in 6 minutes or less. The best advice here is to pick out a car a car with great acceleration, handling, and speed, then use liberal rewinds to ensure you’re going as fast as possible.

Over-Qualified

  • Gamerscore: 25
  • Players Earned: 39%

This achievement requires you to 3-star all of the qualifiers, which are all simple racing courses. This also means you can abuse rewinds as much as you need, taking every turn as tightly as possible and going as fast as possible.

Missions!

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 87%

This is achieved by completing 5 missions, which means doing any map objectives around the Hot Wheels park. You’ll get this naturally.

More Missions!

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 70%

This achievement is again earned by completing missions, this time 25 of them. Just do map objectives, and you’ll get it.

Missions Complete!

  • Gamerscore: 25
  • Players Earned: 13%

This is the final mission achievement for every single mission in the Hot Wheels DLC. Do every mission and some exploring, and you’ll find everything easily.

Altitude Quickness

  • Gamerscore: 25
  • Players Earned: 39%

Winning all the race events in Hot Wheels Park will come more or less naturally, especially just by getting the previous achievement.

Soared and Board

  • Gamerscore: 25
  • Players Earned: 39%

This achievement is given for smashing all the bonus boards in the Hot Wheels Park, which aren’t too hard to find, and takes a bit of exploring to find all 25. There are 9 at the top, 7 on the right, 8 on the left, and one in the middle.

High Roller

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 51%

This achievement requires doing 25 wheelspins in the park, which means you can save up many of them from other parts of the game (even though the park will probably provide enough) and use all of them when inside.

Fresh Pressed Orange Routes

  • Gamerscore: 25
  • Players Earned: 37%

This is the achievement for driving on all the roads in Hot Wheels Park, which is even easier than the base game equivalent since it’s only really counting the bright and colorful Hot Wheels tracks instead of real roads. Just keep driving on the gray roads on your map, you’ll obtain it.

Gotta Pop ‘Em All

forza horizons 5 gotta pop 'em all achievement

  • Gamerscore: 25
  • Players Earned: 23%

The Tank Balloons are floating objects in the sky that can usually be popped by just driving to the portion of the road where they’re located, then it’ll have you jump into it. These will all be marked on your map, and only a few will take some creativity, so you can get these pretty handily when you go for them.

Beach Bomb

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 15%

Firstly, the danger sign for the Canyon Jump is at the bottom of the map and a little to the right. Secondly, you can obtain a 1963 Volkswagen Type 2 De Luxe by buying it from the auto show or off the auction house. Tune it enough to 3-star the sign, then head off the ramp.

Lessons in Hot Wheels History

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 81%

The Hot Wheels Horizon story can be accessed by driving to the checklist icon on your map. It is a history of Hot Wheels summed up in about 5 races. These races aren’t all too difficult, and for two of these achievements, you just have to finish them. If you want 3 stars, feel free to set your AI difficulty lower so they don’t get in the way.

Major in Hot Wheels History

  • Gamerscore: 25
  • Players Earned: 51%

This achievement rewards finishing all chapters of the Hot Wheels Horizon story, and the previous achievement’s advice applies.

Professor of Hot Wheels History

  • Gamerscore: 25
  • Players Earned: 38%

This is for 3-starring every chapter of the Hot Wheels Horizon story, and again, the advice from Lessons in Hot Wheels History applies.

Competition, Experimentation, and Creativity

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 15%

For this, find an EventLab creation (likely in the park itself) and hope it has Hot Wheels content. Or you could use the code 111 612 606 for one that uses a single orange track piece. Your call.

Aquanaut

forza horizons 5 aquanaut achievement

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 82%

If you’re going for everything, then you should have this by merit of already doing every race, but if not, then go into the forest area where most of the races use water flumes.

Icy Roads Ahead

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 82%

Same as above, but if you want this before doing every race, go to the snowy island and do some races.

Shaken not Third

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 77%

You probably already have this one, but if not, do some races on the jungle island.

Attracted to Victory

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 77%

Another that you likely have, but if not, do some races on the jungle island (again).

Points Mean Prizes

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 59%

Luckily this achievement is just for a single seasonal activity and not the entire thing. Look at the festival playlist, find something to do, do it in Hot Wheels Park, and achievement get.

Hot Wheels, Hot Laps

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 14%

This one isn’t too difficult, just a little unclear what it means. Essentially, the only thing you have to do is go into the Hot Wheels section of the pause menu, select rivals, and start a race. Every race has to be finished (no particular time needed) with a clean time; as in, no rewinding or hitting the walls through the entire lap.

Welcome to Sierra Nueva

horizon-rally-adventure

  • Gamerscore: 25
  • Players Earned: 99%

This achievement is unlocked by spending $20, a.k.a, starting the Rally Adventure DLC. I love the 99% earned implying 1% of people bought the DLC and never started it.

Rouen

  • Gamerscore: 25
  • Players Earned: 91%

This one is earned by doing what is essentially a time trial, dubbed the Horizon Rally event. These aren’t too hard, just beat the time posted on it to get this.

Unlimited Rally

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 95%

When you’re in a Rally Race, you’ll occasionally cross a blue checkpoint, which updates your time. Crossing it will give you this achievement.

Better Together

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 52%

Like the entire rest of the game, a race event is pretty much just a standard race against AI. Winning these is just as simple as good driving and using rewinds.

It’s Rally Time!

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 78%

There are a bunch of achievements obtained by joining a specific team, but luckily later in the game, once you’ve increased your reputation, you can join the other two teams. Feel free to pick any of them, but this achievement is specifically the Horizon Raptors team.

Living up to the Rep

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 59%

While working on building your Horizon Raptors reputation, you’ll find you obtain this achievement by complete happenstance. Just do Alex’s challenges on the team, and you’ll be good.

The challenges are usually simple but occasionally ask weird things like camera challenges. They can be pinned to show progress, just like Accolades.

I Ain’t Gonna Change

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 17%

For some reason, despite this achievement being essentially the extended version of Living up to the Rep, it rewards less Gamerscore. Just do every single one of Alex’s challenges, you will get this one.

The same exact thing as Smashlicious, just all 30 instead of just 15.

In The Still Of The Night

The same as I Ain’t Gonna Change but for the Grit Reapers.

Completed It Mate

After reputation challenges for each team, you hit the Team Championship Race. This is a mostly offroad track where you race against the Rep for your team, and you have to come in first to get this. It’s not too hard if you apply general racing advice, but it’s probably gonna be a bit more challenging than what you’re used to.

Picking Up The Tab

  • Gamerscore: 25
  • Players Earned: 38%

The same as the previous achievement, but for all three teams.

Horizon Badlands Champion

  • Gamerscore: 50

After all three championship races, you’ll unlock a slightly harder final race, and winning it crowns you champion. General racing advice applies as always.

Keep Calm And Rally On

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 33%

As you progress through the DLC, you’ll unlock more rally races. Win all the ones you see on your map for this achievement.

Course Connoisseur

  • Gamerscore: 20
  • Players Earned: 18%

You can get this just by winning all of the races in the DLC.

Canyon Master

  • Gamerscore: 25
  • Players Earned: 24%

If you just go around and 3-star every PR stunt in the DLC, you’ll earn this achievement. These stunts are few and far between, and they’re all the same kinds as in the base game, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble with this one.

Smashtastic

  • Gamerscore: 15
  • Players Earned: 26%

This is only earned by smashing 150 Piñata Trucks, which is most easily done by hitting up the Bike Track, hitting all of them, heading home, and repeating until the achievement is unlocked.

Put it on my Smash Drive

  • Gamerscore: 15
  • Players Earned: 14%

Using the same returning home technique as the previous achievement, we can ride the conveyor belt in Orogrande to smash crates as long as it’s nighttime. Keep this up for the achievement.

Road Book

  • Gamerscore: 25
  • Players Earned: 42%

There are only a few roads in the DLC, so drive on all the grayed-out ones on your map if there are still some gray roads left.

That Time of Year

  • Gamerscore: 10

Like the Hot Wheels DLC, wait for a playlist and a season with a challenge you can reasonably do in Sierra Nueva, then do it for an achievement.

Life Skills

  • Gamerscore: 10
  • Players Earned: 17%

You need to bank 1 million skill points, but this can be made quite a lot easier by waiting for a skill song. Once one is on, drift around Sierra Nueva and play it safe (preferably using a car with skill-boosting abilities unlocked) until you hit 100,000 x10. This still won’t be easy, but have some patience.

Questions and Answers

Question: Do I Need the DLC to Get the Achievements in Forza Horizon 5?

Answer: Almost half of the achievements are locked behind paid DLC, however, you only need the Expansions, not the Car or VIP passes.

Question: How Long will it Take to Get Every Achievement in Forza Horizon 5?

Answer: It will likely take around 120 hours of in-game time to get every achievement, but due to some online-dependant ones, take at least a month of real-world time.

Question: Do I Need to be Online for Forza Horizon 5 Achievements?

Answer: While quite a few achievements can be done offline, a few explicitly require an internet connection, and interaction with other players, and some greatly benefit from it.

Conclusion

I enjoy this game quite a bit, and I think getting every achievement being such an incredibly massive and overwhelming task makes actually conquering it all the sweeter. I think the number of people with every single one of them would be way larger if it wasn’t for seasonal ones.

This makes the process way more length than it probably should be. That and the online ones can take a ton of time just because of the hefty skill requirement. If you’ve got free time and want something to show off to others, this is certainly one to try and take on.
